have you thought of implementing a cross-selling feature or generally speaking a recommendation engine?

Would be great if there is something planned in the future.

Hi Jethro,

for the next SilverCart release we plan to have a basic cross-selling feature. It'll be implemented as a module so that existing SilverCart shops can be updated easily.

Shop owners will be able to attribute related products to products as well as to product group pages. The related products can be integrated as widget into product detail and group page views. There'll be an option for products to use the cross-selling setting of the next parent product group, so you don't have to define the settings for every single product.

Automated features (aka "customers who bought this product also bought ...") won't be available in the first version but are planned for the following versions.

SilverCart 1.2 is in the quality assurance cycle since today, depending on the bugs we find publication shouldn't be farther away than two weeks :)
