SilverCart 1.0 final available for download
After 3 release candidates we published version 1.0 final of our shopping cart module SilverCart. Thanks to everybody who helped us with this release by giving us invaluable feedback and motivation.

New tutorial for implementing custom themes available
A new tutorial is available that describes how you can write custom themes for SilverCart and/or adjust the CSS definitions.

New documentation available
Today we updated our documentation for SilverCart. The section gained a hierachical structure and some navigation extensions like breadcrumbs, automated table of contents and section indicators.

Visual redesign
Yesterday Ramon published the redesign of silvercart.org. The prior design was done in a hurry, because there was so much development work to do and we badly wanted to go public. With his work Ramon unified the look of silvercart.org and silvercart.de. While silvercart.org is ment for developers silvercart.de is supposed to explain our software to german customers and show it's value. We are aware that the national markets for ecommerce software are very different which has it's reasons in tradition and national legislation. That's why we run a website especially for the german market.

Configuration screencast published
After a lot of struggle I released the third screencast for SilverCart today. It shows how to configure SilverCart after a installation without test data enabled. The screencast shows how to add the first product to the default shop and how to configure a checkout with prepayment as payment method.

SilverCart + SS3
Will SilverCart be compatible with SilverStripe 3 preview ?
To be or not to be [compatible], that is the question. Of course there is only one way to find the answer. Sebastian installed SilverStripe 3 preview and it feels so good. Kudos to SilverStripe. It looked already great on the screenshots, but after getting my hands on it I can say that it feels even better than it looks.
